This is how you can tell if your camera is on.”

“The camera is engineered so that it can’t activate without the camera indicator light also turning on. You’ve probably heard nightmarish stories of hackers enabling webcams without the owner’s knowledge and watching-or worse, recording-everything the camera can see.įortunately, Macs with built-in cameras like iMacs and MacBooks have an indicator light that turns green when your camera is in use.Īpple claims the cameras are wired in series with the camera, meaning that if the light were to shut off, the camera would also shut down. If you suspect someone might be remotely accessing your Mac while using it, there are a few telltale signs. How Do I Know If Someone Is Remotely Accessing My Mac? How to Stop Someone from Accessing Your Mac Remotely. How to Tell If Your Mac Has Been Hacked. How Do I Know If Someone Is Remotely Accessing My Mac?.This has been driving me crazy ever since I got my Apple TV and searching came up fruitless until now! 😁😁 But don't see why it shouldn't work like a charm! 🙂Īlthough I wouldn't have known about this if it wasn't for the genuis of Ferd II!! THANKS SO MUCH FERD II! 🙂 🙂🙂 Like I said, can't say how well it works as I haven't got two remotes so haven't distinguished between them as such. To answer your question simply, it seems like yes, you can distinguish between remotes. Then, on your Apple TV > Settings > General > Remotes, you can pair the remaining remotes. The issue is, until you do that, it states under the option for disabling the IP receiver "This computer will work with any available remote.". You can then pair which remote you want to your iMac. If you click that, it will tell you how to pair the remote. This is because Ferd II must have one paired. As can be seen in the image, it says "Unpair" under the option "Disable remote control IR receiver".

I don't have two remotes, so can't fully confirm if it works properly or not, but there is a "pair" function.
